January 13, 2022
Construction hoarding and covered sidewalks will be installed very soon ahead of the start of structural demolition of the existing buildings. Please check back here often for the latest updates and a look-ahead of the scheduled activities at the site!
March 18, 2022
Demolition is now in full swing on the site as GFL Infrastructure Group makes more and more progress each day. The buildings at 45, 47 and 49 Avenue Road are now gone, and 142-148 Yorkville Avenue are currently being removed.
August 31, 2022
Demolition on the site is complete. Once final pre-construction activities to prepare the site are complete, the next stage will be the arrival of shoring and excavation equipment. Watch this space!
March 9, 2023
The first of 2 vertical drilling rigs is now on site and taking the first steps toward creating a below grade workspace for 138 Yorkville to rise up from! Vertical drilling started today and is expected to continue until late Summer.
January 22, 2024
With the completion of vertical drilling and caisson wall construction late in 2023, excavation at the 138 Yorkville site is now in full swing as the New Year begins. With a total of 4 parking levels to excavate, the work will continue through to the early summer with the anticipation of a crane installation right around mid-year 2024!
